This study aimed to explore and understand the experiences of the Filipino educators on job related challenges, coping mechanisms, motivations and satisfactions in teaching abroad. The study utilized the descriptive phenomenology. Data were obtained through a semi-structured interview guide which was internally validated. Data saturation was obtained with five (5) participants. The participants of the study were chosen purposively based on years of teaching experience and membership in Philippine Teachers Association of Bahrain (PTAB). Thematic analysis was used to treat the data which led to the identification of the themes. From the analysis of the response, the job-related challenges of Filipino educators included difficulty of adapting to a new working environment and lack of social interaction. The coping mechanism of Filipino educators was work commitment and dedication. The job-related motivation of Filipino educators included career opportunities, and remuneration and incentives. The job-related satisfaction of Filipino educators included compensation package and gained work experiences. The overseas Filipino educators employ positive approaches and productivity as manifestation of their job-related satisfaction. The thematic model and the validated three-year strategic plan crafted by the researcher based on the findings can effectively guide the Overseas Filipino
Educators in teaching abroad. The proposed Three-Year Strategic Plan incorporated in this manuscript should be adopted for all members of the Philippine Teachers Association - Bahrain (PTAB) and other countries with Filipino educators. The Thematic Model should be considered as basis in addressing the challenges of Overseas Filipino Educators teaching abroad.
