Summary, etc. |
This study determined the extent of instructional manag of public adel administrators using the Principal Instructional Management Rating Scale (PMRS). The findings revealed that school administrators frequently observed and employed their instructional management as perceived by themselves and by their teachers. The results further unleashed that school administrations formulated and implemented various practices, styles and strategies in instructional management while teachers observed and absorbed such practices. Likewise, the profile variables of the school administrators such as age, gender, educational attainment and length of service of the respondents were determined. The school administrators were largely female in their fifties and occupying Head Teacher III positions. Most of them had more than six years of work experience and continued their graduate studies. The difference between the perceptions of the school administrators and teachers on instructional management was found to be significant. This means that the perceptions of the two groups of respondents in instructional management varied significantly.<br/>It is also interesting to note that the difference between the perceptions of the school administrators on instructional management across gender, age, current position and years in service was significant but not in educational attainment. This means that the overall perception of the school administrators on instructional management as to educational attainment did not vary significantly. Regardless of educational attainment, school administrators performed their duties and functions as committed instructional managers. As regards relationship between the profile variables and perceptions of respondents on instructional management of school administrators, it was unfurled that gender, age and years in service affected the perceptions of the school administrators on instructional management.. Moreover, a roadmap to Total Instructional Management Enhancement (TIME) program was constructed for the public secondary school administrators. Various activities and strategies in the planning matrix were developed to further enhance the instructional management of school administrators. |
