Summary, etc. This study aimed to assess the implementation of Barangay Micro Business Enterprises (BMBEs) Act in the Province of La Union. Specifically, it focused on generating knowledge on the profile of the registered BMBEs.; the extent of implementation of the Act; the capabilities and constraints; and degree of seriousness of the problems encountered. The descriptive methos of research was applied using questionnaires, focus group discussion and interview. The weighted mean and frequency count were the statistical tools used. This study found out that the registered BMBEs were already part of the formal economy prior to BMBE registration. The extent of implementation of BMBEs Act along the areas of registration; incentives and benefits; information dissemination; and, penalties imposed was not intensive. The degree of seriousness of problems encountered was manageable and can be addressed at the provincial level. The action plan formulated in this study gained very high validity as per evaluation.
