The study utilized interpretative phenomenology as its research design, ten participants from different places in Region 1, 2 and 3 were chosen through non probability snowball sampling A semi-structured interview was utilized to generate data about the participants' struggles and challenges. The interviews were transcribed verbatim and were analyzed. The responses of the participants were processed and yielded five emerging themes and 12 subthemes. This result encompasses the following: diversity of experience, psychosomatic representation, support network, spiritual reconnections and challenging prevailing attitude. The struggles and challenges encountered by the PWDs affect them because of their limitations leading to thinking that they are burden to others PWDs are oftentimes the victims of bullying and discrimination. Social isolation has been their defense mechanism in order to combat fear or rejection and discrimination. In spite of the negative encounters, the PWDs found several ways to cope up with their condition. A sustainable support network of God, family and friends has positively influenced the PWDs in the attainment of their aspirations Spiritual reconnection through faith in God and worship aids on enlightening the PWDs towards positive outlook in life that includes self-acceptance and overcoming weaknesses and earning a good degree of determination. The combination of strong support system and healthy spirituality leads to better career outcomes and successful living Further, based on findings and conclusions, PWDs are encouraged to undergo counselling provided by the City Social Welfare Development (CSWD) to uplift their self-esteem; the families with PWDs are likewise encouraged to undergo counselling to further understand the psychosocial behavior of their children. Stnct implementation and monitoring of special education (SPED) of City Social Welfare Development (CSWD) and the Department of Education (DepEd) to address the PWDs' needs. When planning intervention programs for PWDs by the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD), occupation or meaningful occupational activities as well as social integration at different stages of life should be taken into account and finally, a follow up study that entails PWDs relationship with their employers and co-workers and a study that addresses the struggles and challenges of PWDs who are less fortunate.
