Using Vatican II theologies and other Church documents as lenses, the study determined the pastoral implications of the novena prayer and provided a firm basis for the novena's revision. The research employed a descriptive phenomenological, and exploratory methodology in order to discuss the historical, theological, and pastoral aspects in relation to the novena. Interestingly, the research provided a recommendation for the revision of the novena as an output based on the findings The research found out that the original Ilocano version of the novena prayer to Nuestra Señora Del Mar Cautiva composed in 1890, which was translated to English in 2018, has a rich Mariology. However, it also found out that it needs attention in terms of fulfilling the guidelines set by Marialis Cultus and the Catholic Church documents regarding Marian devotion. In particular, the Trinitarian, Biblical, Ecclesial, Socio- Anthropoligical, Missiological and Mariological, Christological aspects of the novena prayer were evaluated. In careful consideration with these criteria, a revision was provided in this study. As pastoral implications, the novena prayer was found out needing promotion, preaching, and witnessing in the Diocese of San Fernando of La Union and in the Holy Guardian Angels Parish in Sto Tomas, La Union. The novena prayer established Nuestra Señora Del Mar Cautiva's Divine Motherhood as the single role of Mary from which this research is anchored to portray other images of Mary in the novena. To mention a few, Del Mar Cautiva as Mother of All Christians, Mother of the Church, and Mother of Grace. The novena prayer to Nuestra Señora Del Mar Cautiva, historically by and theologically rich in its nature, was concluded to be a significant instrument in the Christian formation of every devotee in propagating and keeping the faith and in imbibing a unique Marian spirituality that is centered in Christ, focused on the Blessed Mother, leading every devotee back to God. Key Terms: Nuestra Señora Del Mar Cautiva, Marian Devotion, Novena Prayer, Marialis Cults, Marian Spirituality, Mariology, Christology, Religious Piety.
