Data on SC level of engagement were gathered from randomly-selected national high schools in the Schools Division Office I Pangasinan. The study also looked into the relationship between the profile of the SC heads and the level of school engagement of the sac members in the school improvement process. The study found that principals had a moderate level of awareness of their roles as SC Head, while other members of the GC had a low level of awareness of their roles and responsibilities in relation to sir. Relatedly, SC members had a low level of involvement in SIP; level of engagement of school heads in all stages of SIP development and implementation was moderate. LUs are moderately involved in the implementation of the Sir. Moreover, Chi-square test results revealed that the school heads' profile is not associated with the level of engagement of SC members in the SIP. Results of the study were used as basis for the preparation of an action plan. Such action plan was later assessed by select school heads as having a high level of acceptability. The study concluded that SC members still have a lot to improve in terms of their awareness of their roles as well as involvement in the development and implementation of the SIP. Implementation of the proposed action plan is expected to contribute significantly toward this end ER -
