The enhancement program was prepared after a determination of: the profile of ALS teachers in terms of educational attainment, number of year as ALS implementer, number of trainings/seminars related to ALS attended for the last three years, sense of teaching efficacy, and grit level; the level of competence of ALS implementers; and the challenges encountered by ALS implementers in implementing the ALS  program. The writer hopes that through this enhance competency program, ALS teachers will become more competent in handling classes,'
