N2  - The study developed and subjected to experts' evaluation, a Development Framework for Academie- Industry Collaboration on Skills Enhancement of Students of the Tourism and Hospitality Management Programs of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the llocos Provinces. The framework was based on the practices of problems encountered by, and areas of concerns of higher education institutions (HEIS) and industry partners, respectively, on the skills enhancement of students in the Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM) programs. The study utilized the Research and Development (R&D) method using survey questionnaire sent through Google docs to gather data.

Involved in the survey part of the study were 12 respondents from higher education institutions (HEIS) in Region 1 consisting of the Dean and/or Department Chair/Program Coordinator for THM programs, 18 managers/owners of travel agencies, and 38 managers and department Department of Tourism (DOT) and other players in the industry and

established a program of cooperation with at least two HEIS (local, national,

international); and a practicum program common to both programs that

includes MOA; orientation; practicum coordinator; effective training plan;

monitoring; feedback mechanism; and accredited practicum venues
