520 | _aStress affects the performance of employees, the quality of their output, and their relationship with people. This research and development study, which involved 335 high school teachers in the three schools divisions of the province of locos Norte, was conducted to determine the teachers' experience on the causes of stress, the manifestations of stress, and their coping mechanisms. Slovin's formula and stratified random sampling were utilized to determine the sample size. Frequency counts, percentage, and mean with corresponding descriptive interpretation were used to analyze and interpret the data gathered. Results showed that teachers are often stressed on the learners and sometimes on tasks, workloads, assignments, and finances. Their stresses are moderately manifested along with psychological and physical conditions. Unfortunately, they fairly practice coping mechanisms, including physical, psychological, psycho-social, and psycho-spiritual strategies, in addressing these stresses in the workplace. Hence, a Workplace Wellness Training Program for Teachers was developed. A panel of experts found the program to be highly valid. It is then highly recommended that public and private high schools adopt the program. | ||
