520			_aThis study, using the interpretative phenomenological approach, aimed to explore the success stories, challenges, and coping mechanisms of the CICM student-athletes. Data were obtained through a semi-structured interview guide which was validated internally. A total of 16 key informants from the four (4) CICM schools namely Saint Louis College of San Fernando La Union, Saint Louis University of Baguio City, Saint Mary's University of Bayombong Nueva Vizcaya, and University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao. The student-athletes were selected through purposive sampling using specified selection criteria. From the analysis of the responses, the theme which emerged for success stories include Bringing Pride and Honor to the School. The theme that surfaced for challenge include Pitfalls and Hurdles for Sporting Success which means that they have difficulty juggling the Academic Responsibilities. The theme which emerged for coping mechanism include Adopting Strategic Game Plan to Rise amidst the Gruesome Challenges which means Undergoing Rigorous Training Program and Keeping a Stronger Faith to the Father. The themes were validated through check- recheck process with the adviser and the participants of the study. This led to the crafting of the Leaping Through the Odds Model.
