This descriptive phenomenological study aimed to explore the practices, strategies, as well as the concerns of Divine Word Colleges (DWCs) in the Philippine Northern Province in implementing the succession planning program to their Human Resource Department. Data were collected using the individual, in depth and virtual interviews with the help of structured, semi-structured and unstructured interview. Thematic analysis was used to treat the gathered data which yielded the themes with corresponding subthemes. (1) Developing and Capacitating Potential Leaders (Understudying Potential Leaders and Attendance to Post Graduate Studies); (2) Skills Inventory (Educational Qualifications and Personal Attributes); (3) Performance and Work Evaluations (4)
Transitioning Programs (Turnover of Documents and Orientation Programs); (5) Mentoring Program (6)Dearth of Qualified Potential Leaders (7) Fast Turnover of Teachers and (8) Not Competitive Salary. These themes provided the researcher with meaningful insights in crafting the "MPBrigola's thematic model for Building Leadership Pipeline of Divine Word Colleges in the Philippine Northern Province". Moreover, the researcher also crafted the proposed "Succession Program for DWCs based on the Four (4) Pillars of Building Leadership Pipeline to guide the DWCs build a competent pool and pipeline of potential leaders and in ensuring continuity of leadership when vacancy of key positions occur.
